Day 02 – Explore the beauty of Nuwaraeliya

1. Breakfast at the hotel
2. Visit to the Labookele TEA factory and Estate –It is one of the oldest tea estates in Lanka and is about ‘150 years old’. Visiting the Damro Labookellie Tea Lounge gives you the opportunity to visit the tea factory and taste the tea for free. Also, it is the perfect place for any tired traveler to relax and get some fresh air, this is definitely a must visit place when you come to Nuwara Eliya.
3. Enjoy and Roam around the “Gregory Lake” and the Victoria Park –A well maintained green pasture around the lake gives a beautiful border.Enjoy Horse Rides, Boat Rides, and Water Scooter rides with professional riders.
4. Lunch and rest at ‘The Grand Hotel’ –A 4-star boutique hotel and is one of the oldest in the country. The history of the hotel goes back to ‘1819’ which is considered as a ‘National Heritage Property’ as this was the Holiday home of “Sir Edward Barnes” the fifth Governor of Sri Lanka during the British era.

Visit to the tallest mountain in Sri Lanka – “Pidurutalagala” or “Moon Plains” –The only ultra-prominent peak in the island – the Pidurutalagala Mountain, the tallest with an elevation of 2,524 metres. It is home to rich biodiversity and the island’s national television transmitter and has a flat summit covered with pale green vegetation. Drive up the mountain, see transforming changes of the vegetation, climate and witness beautiful scenery of the never ending landscapes unfolding beneath you.

Day 03 – Transfer to Ella on a Scenic Train ride

2. Visit to water falls in Nuwaraeliya –Lovers leap fall is one iconic place which is a must in your travel list. There is a background for the name of this fall, as long ago the prince who lived in Nuwara Eliya fell in love with the beautiful girl of the village. As you guess, the king was not happy with their relationship and tried all possible ways to apart the lovers. As the heartless rule of the king with his people, the prince and his girl jumped off the high rock. Since then this place is called as the Lovers LeapBomburu Ella, also known as Perawella Falls. It is located near the border of Nuwara Eliya and Badulla districts. Bomburu Ella is a waterfall in Sri Lanka and consists of several small waterfalls grouped together. The source of the falls is a lake located in the central highlands of Sri Lanka
3. Drop off at the Nanu-Oya Railway station
4. Nuwaraeliya to Ella – The train ride of a life time -This Ella Odyssey Train stops at scenic / important photo locations. Purpose of this Ella Odyssey Train is to help Sri Lanka Tourism by providing a joyful / thrilled train journey for local and overseas travelers.Nuwaraeliya to Ella Train journey is one of the most scenic train journeys in South Asia travelling through lush green tea estates / waterfalls / many tunnels which gives you a beautiful / joyful memory. (The chauffer will be travelling to the Ella Railway Station to pick you up after the Train ride)
5. Visit the Nine-Arches bridge –The Nine Arches Bridge also called the “Bridge in the Sky” is a viaduct bridge in Sri Lanka. It is one of the best examples of colonial-era railway construction in the country. This bridge is 300 feet in length, 25 feet in width and 80-100 feet in height. Arguably one of the most admired rail bridges in the world

Day 04 –Transfer back to Colombo

1. Breakfast at the hotel
2. Start heading towards Colombo
3. Stop at the Rawana Falls
4. The rest of the day could be arranged under two optionsOption 01Enjoy an exciting Wild life safari at the Udawalawa National Park -The park was created to provide a sanctuary for wild animals displaced by the construction of the Udawalawe Reservoir. Also this park is home for the second largest herd of elephants in the country. Other than elephants there are water buffalo, monkeys, crocodiles, lizards, a variety of birds, and insects. Also if lucky enough you get to see the leopards too.

   Skipping the safari and heading straight towards Colombo. (4 1/2 hour drive)

   Visit to the Galle Dutch fort

   The story of the Galle Dutch Fort; a UNESCO World Heritage Site reverberates through every traveller’s photos and captions. Initially built by the Portuguese in the 16th century during their conquests, the fort was later fortified and conquered by the Dutch in the 17th century, until it later fell to the might of the British. The oldest library of the country is also in the Galle fort.
